Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Role:

Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs from various sources, such as cloud services, security tools, network devices, and endpoints. Perform incident triage and investigation, using threat intelligence, forensic analysis, malware analysis, and other methods. Contain and mitigate security incidents, following the incident response lifecycle and best practices. Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as management, IT, legal, and compliance during and after security incidents. Document and report on security incidents, including root cause analysis, lessons learned, and recommendations. Develop and update incident response plans, procedures, playbooks, and checklists. Research and stay updated on the latest threats and best practices in cloud security and incident response.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity

  • 2+ years of experience with incident response

  • Experience in working with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience in using various security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and XDR

  • Experience in performing forensic analysis, malware analysis, threat hunting, and threat intelligence

  • Experience in scripting and automation, using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash

  • Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications

  • GCIH, Security+, CySA+, AWS CCP, or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
