Systems Architect, Senior

We’re looking for someone like you to help organizations solve their traditional business challenges with new digital transformation architecture from roadmap to implementation.

As a digital transformation architect on our team, you’ll use your leadership and analytical skills to improve operations and readiness for our Army client. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then help lead their transformation into a data centric organization by acquiring, transforming, transferring, and maintaining data and information to enable leader development, training, capability and concept development, and experimentation across the Army. You’ll work alongside key stakeholders and other consultants to share your expertise on technical ecosystems and implement transformative processes.

You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience in designing IT architecture and systems integration at the enterprise level compliant with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)

  • 3+ years of experience with system architecture design and development for AWS, MS Azure, or GCP-based environments

  • Experience with resolving problems and integrating existing systems and application architectures

  • Experience with security and compliance activities necessary to maintain system accreditation

  • Experience with requirements analysis, risk management, configuration management and verification, backup architecture management, infrastructure maintenance, and process documentation

  • Ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals with various levels of technical expertise

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • DoD 8570.1-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program Certification, including Security+ or CISSP

  • Ability to obtain MS Azure Certification within 3 months of hire

Nice If You Have:  

  • 3+ years of experience with managing DevOps and software development or system integration and development

  • 2+ years of experience with an Agile development methodology as a team member or leader

  • 2+ years of experience with development or DevOps automation, including Infrastructure as Code for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) deployments

  • Experience with developing and implementing Azure cloud services

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, security, reliability, and scalability as applied to enterprise-scale Cloud-hosted systems

  • Knowledge of release management or production operations

  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools, including  Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps

  • Master's degree

  • MS Azure Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
