CNO Reverse Engineer

The Opportunity: 

As a computer network operations (CNO) specialist, you know that embedded and application developers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts all play key roles in the CNO capability development lifecycle. We’re looking for someone like you to flex your problem-solving prowess in a rapidly evolving systems security research and development environment.  

As a CNO capability development specialist on our team, you’ll act as an integrated CNO reverse engineer and tactical developer for up-and-coming projects where you will design, develop, prototype, modify, or integrate solutions to provide mission-centric results. You will work closely with CNO analysts, operators, data scientists, and other engineers to provide mission tactical support. Help us combat the most advanced adversaries and defend national security.

You Have:   

  • 6+ years of experience with computer network operations capability development and engineering services, including defense and exploitation to gain strategic advantages

  • Experience with Vulnerability Research and Reverse Engineering Malware using tools, including Ghidra or IDA Pro

  • Experience with producing or modifying software systems in C, C++, or Python

  • Experience with reverse engineering Windows and Linux applications

  • Experience with Bash or PowerShell

  • Experience with indigenous and vendor proprietary protocols

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree 


Nice If You Have:    

  • 3+ years of experience with computer programming in C, C++, Python, or Assembly

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust

  • Experience with developing CNO specific software in Linux, Windows, or Embedded applications

  • Experience with Vulnerability Research and Exploit development   

  • Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
