Instructional Systems Design Specialist

Key Role:

Work closely with other ISDs, subject matter experts, master schedulers, instructors, virtual machine engineers, Cybersecurity professionals, and other contractors to analyze data carefully and design effective Cybersecurity training program solutions and develop strategies that leverage instructional design and training evaluation models for Cyber topics. Comprehend the practical application of a variety of multimedia technologies, including virtual classrooms, virtual conferences, audio, video, CD-ROM, DVD, and Internet or intranet tools and apply knowledge of how to develop instructional manuals, job aids, quick reference materials, and other print-based materials. Leverage expertise in oral and written communications to provide concise, easy-to-comprehend activity summaries. Update, innovate, and enhance training programs. Develop and nurture client relationships through interfacing with numerous clients routinely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience training others

  • 4+ years of experience in a Cyberspace environment

  • Experience with educational research program design and evaluation, face-to-face instructional systems design and development, technology-based instructional systems design, workplace learning and development, and training development

  • Experience with synchronous and asynchronous instructional systems design and development and technology-based systems design, including Web-based and computer-based instructional systems design and development

  • Experience with using instructional design standards for application-based tools training and tutorial design and development

  • Experience with developing tests and assessments for technical expertise and developing scoring rubric

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Training

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with storyboarding

  • Experience with Moodle LMS

  • Experience with working remotely in a distributed environment

  • Experience in working closely with developers and programmers in creating exercises and scenarios

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $105,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
