Program Protection Specialist

Key Role:

Performs a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of firm and government sensitive and classified information. Applies advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise along with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working in the DoD or intelligence community
  • Experience with analyzing the development of critical program protection and writing and reviewing Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
  • Experience with developing security plans for an integrated security environment that will protect information throughout the life cycle of the program
  • Experience with 5205.07 Volumes 1-4
  • Knowledge of activities used to ensure comprehensive and consistent protection strategies are incorporated into the planning and execution of technology programs
  • Ability to write and review SCGs, OPSEC plans, or senior-level briefings and oversee new programs, including analysis and product development
  • Ability to translate security concepts for collateral, sensitive compartmented information (SCI), and Special Access activities
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 120 days of start date

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,400.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
