Technical Writer

Key Role:

Collect and organize information required for the preparation of documents, guides, proposals, and reports supporting capability needs on behalf of geographic and global Combatant Commands. Provide technical edits to requirement documentation, reports, or any other documents or presentations. Leverage expertise in writing, editing, and communicating to analyze and present complex information in a format that is easy to read and comprehend. Collaborate with internal directorates and external stakeholders to develop and refine capability justification documents.  

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience as a technical writer

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in English or Business or 15 years of experience as a technical writer in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a military environment at the Headquarters or Joint Staff level

-Experience with the collection and documentation of capability requirements

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
