Information and Knowledge Management Analyst

The Opportunity:

Critical decisions are made every single day in the military.   What if you could use your expertise in Information and Knowledge Management to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of information systems for a unique military client in the Pacific region?  With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to manage and process data to provide their clients the most relevant information available.  If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to help enhance the security of US interests within the client’s area of responsibility. 

As an expert in information management, your unique skill set inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to help solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe.  You will provide first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application and account problems over multiple Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DODIIS) enclaves. You will use your skills as a front-line interface to support a wide range of automation activities and programs that provide critical mission support. Your skill will support information security and assurance requirements such as advice to users on on-site configuration, integration solutions, methodology, and the IT infrastructure.

You Have:

  • 3 years of experience maintaining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), or Thin Client Management and with configuring and troubleshooting SSL and IPSec VPNs
  • Experience with troubleshooting network issues in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Experience with imaging computers, including creating and managing user accounts in Active directory
  • Experience with ticketing systems and PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of routing protocols, including RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF
  • Knowledge of Army enterprise architecture
  • Ability to dynamically present concepts and ideas to clients and industry partners
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification


Nice If You Have:

  • 3 years of experience with SharePoint (O365) Administration, design, planning, and managing permissions
  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting cable and fiber infrastructure dealing with connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords, routers and switches; terminating CAT5
  • Experience with implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices 
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) implementation in a DoD secure environment
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, securing and hardening Operating Systems, Networks, Databases and Applications
  • Knowledge of how cloud-based technologies function

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
