Job Description
Key Role:
Advise and assist on aircraft training, exercises, events, contingency, and operational-related events and provide analytical, technical, financial, and logistical analysis and recommendations during the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) in the India-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM). Conduct analysis during all phases of the JELC, provide technical recommendations that meet Training and Readiness (TR) goals as defined in the command’s direction, and track changes in training phases. Attend and lead Joint, bilateral, and multinational planning conferences, working groups, and meetings, when required to gather data and plan and provide recommendations to U.S. Government attendees on the conduct of military operations. Serve in the planning and integration capacity of the uniformed customer, when required, coordinate with adjacent staff sections and subordinate units on the project lead and action officer’s behalf, and serve on the operational continuity until the conclusion of such operations, as required. Manage semi-annual planning and scheduling conferences for training exercises and events and provide recommendations on product, planning, and execution development updates to the staff, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with exercise, operational, or contingency planning in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations
- 2+ years of experience in exercise, operational, or contingency planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent components and HHQ Commands
- Experience with fixed-wing jet operations, training, and fighter deployment requirements
- Experience with planning and coordinating training
- Knowledge of military organization and culture of joint forces and partner allies in the region
- Knowledge of a variety of DoD networks for information gathering, including NIPR, SIPR, and SharePoint
- Ability to apply information from the applicable documents to advise in the design of an exercise, operational, or contingency construct to meet training and readiness objectives
- Ability to provide financial analysis and recommendations of annual deployment budgets, including synchronizing budgets with deployment schedules, tracking current cost estimates, and forecasting financial balances
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience with aviation training and exercise planning or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience with aviation training and exercise planning
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with using Microsoft Excel and data visualization
- Experience with planning and coordinating training in Guam and Alaska preferred
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- Ability to communicate complex data analysis topics clearly to senior leaders and their respective staffs and interface with senior-level staff members at Joint and Combined levels
- Ability to advise leadership on the means to achieve exercise, operational, or contingency planning objectives and how and when to change operational phases
- TS/SCI clearance
- Graduate of Intermediate Level Professional Military Education, including correspondence or in-residence
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
