The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on the development of advanced U.S. Air Force weapon systems with cryptology analysis, evaluation, and certification programs. You’ll leverage your specialized knowledge and expertise in cryptology, including applying scientific and engineering principles, criteria, and techniques to identify and analyze cryptologic design within new nuclear weapon systems, informing nuclear certification of these new systems.
As a systems engineer on our team, you'll enjoy a dynamic team environment of client and contractor staff while evaluating comprehensive weapon system design safety and security, including unmanned systems, ground-based missile systems, and support systems. Typical work products include Technical Nuclear Safety Analysis (TNSA), Independent Nuclear Safety Evaluations (INSE), and a variety of research whitepapers on behalf of an Air Force client.
You'll analyze data, develop written deliverables, assist with the presentation of results, and assist with the review of weapon system cryptologic artifacts to verify compliance with requirements, policy, and guidance documents. You'll conduct these tasks following established plans and quality standards.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in cryptology engineering
- Experience developing, testing, or evaluating cryptology in distributed systems
- Experience with requirements traceability
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
- Ability to communicate advanced concepts in engineering clearly and translate to non-technical individuals
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
- Experience implementing Type 1 cryptologic algorithms
- Experience developing Key and Certificate Management Plans
- Experience creating verbal and written communication products for clients, including analysis reports, presentations, and whitepapers
- Knowledge of DoD and AF Nuclear Surety Policy, including AFMAN 91-118 and AFMAN 91-119
- Knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2)
- Possession of strong leadership skills, demonstrated in a technical team environment
- Master’s degree in Engineering, CS, or Mathematics

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
