Assistant Facility Security Officer

Key Role:
Perform a wide range of security functions to ensure the protection of firm and government sensitive and classified information. Ensure the security program is compliant with DoD security requirements. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge to develop and contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Support all security operations of an active compound supporting government operations. Work independently with some guidance from the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in the security field

  • Knowledge of DoD security systems or databases, including DISS and NISS

  • Secret clearance

  • Associate’s degree or 5 years of experience in the security field in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications

  • Knowledge of Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (32 CFR), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD), and DoD security requirements

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail

  • Ability to be highly flexible and motivated

  • Ability to move from one task to another and be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises

  • Possession of excellent judgment, decision-making, teamwork, and customer service skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Completion of DCSA and CDSE Course, including Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
