Financial Operations Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for conducting and documenting complex financial analysis projects, including budgeting, auditing, and forecasting analysis. Research financial and economic trends and develop short-term forecasts. Ensure management's comprehension of rate and budgeted issues. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations and conduct and lead audits, as needed. Provide financial improvement and audit remediation support to assist the DoD client with achieving and sustaining audit readiness. Assist the task lead and client staff with efforts to evaluate the operational design and effectiveness of internal controls and accounting systems, perform substantive testing of key supporting documents, and develop and implement corrective actions to address audit findings, including supporting the client in responding to external audits. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with accounting or auditing

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley or OMB Circular A-123 compliance

-Experience with financial statement and internal control audits

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a geographically dispersed team

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Accounting or a related business field preferred; MBA, MA, or MS degree in Accounting or a related field a plus

-CPA License

-CDFM or CGFM Certification
