Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the perfect fit to communicate and solve recurring problems. You could use those skills to improve the technology supporting law enforcement. We’re looking for a system administrator with experience in both Linux and Windows environments to help us deliver and maintain cyber solutions across the law enforcement and the intelligence community.
As a system administrator on our team, you’ll constantly look for ways to not only make our systems secure and compliant, but also make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies. You’ll provide clients with insight into their networks through monitoring and performance management. Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help our team better understand the network by translating metrics into decision-quality information and explaining in meaningful ways.
This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like cloud computing as we innovate next-generation systems. We grow, perform, and progress as a team, so you’ll help lead and mentor the team and we work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network, so our clients achieve their goals. You Have:
10+ years of experience working enterprise-level IT systems administration
6+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator
Experience with maintaining high system availability and secure system posture for physical and virtual systems
Experience with patching and maintenance in Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux mixed system environments
Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring server solutions using Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience with Cloud such as AWS and virtual machines such as VMware
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with developing and managing scripted solutions
Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including Splunk
Experience with managing Satellite Patching Servers
Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring server solutions using Windows
Ability to work with little guidance or instruction
Ability to analyze and enhance documented operational processes and procedures
Ability to apply critical-thinking for new solutions that address current and emerging IT challenges
TS/SCI clearance
CompTIA, RHEL, or AWS Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
