The Opportunity:

For an organization to transform in today’s digital world, it needs to properly collect, store, and organize its data. Effective data management can enable more efficient operations, yielding more growth. As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an enterprise data architecture lead like you to solve complex challenges and deliver leading-edge solutions for our Digital Battlespace customers.

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you can translate business and mission requirements into data management and technology requirements, defining data standards, strategy, principles, and architectures. You will be responsible for visualizing and designing an organization’s enterprise data management framework and operational data architectures. This framework describes the processes and information used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge data. You will also provide a standard common business and mission vocabulary and ontology, express strategic requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and align with enterprise data strategy and related mission and operational data architectures.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Evaluate how business and mission uses data analytics for decision-making
  • Translate business and mission requirements into data management and technical specifications, including datasets, data planes, data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data warehouses, and Object Management Systems (OMS)
  • Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference, and master data
  • Define reference architectures others can follow to create and improve data systems
  • Define data flows, data curation, data functions, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition or data state
  • Collaborate and coordinate across departments, stakeholders, and partners to provide mission-oriented technology innovation
  • Design models of data processing that implement the intended business and mission model
  • Develop diagrams representing key data entities and their relationships, including ontologies
  • Generate a list of components needed to build the designed system, including data mesh architectures
  • Communicate clearly, simply, and effectively

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • Experience with system development, including Model-Based System Engineering and Pattern-Based System Engineering
