The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and technical experience makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a database administrator, you know how to manage and secure database technology. What if you could use those skills to help improve the database technology supporting the defense industry, specifically the Navy?

On our team, you’ll create and maintain user profiles for database access, research and constantly look for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization, perform backup and recovery, configure database parameters, and design prototypes against logical data model. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you solve routine problems and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like MS SQL to help identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical database.

In this role, you’ll work under supervision with your team leads to closely impact the mission by providing real time data and performance data by supporting the warfighter. With your technical interest, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:

• Experience with MS SQL

• Knowledge of Agile Methodology

• Ability to manage data access, create accounts, and help with performance tuning

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience deploying database scripts, forms, and web solutions

• Experience maintaining code repository

• Experience with Configuration Management and Repository Management

• Experience with VM distribution, maintenance, refreshing and creation

• Experience applying STIGs and Security Patches
