Key Role:
Develop and apply advanced mechanical engineering design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, technically direct, and evaluate projects and major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical support staff. Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solution of complex technical problems. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Recommend corrections in technical applications and analyses. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products and services. Provide technical consultation to other organizations and work leadership for lower level employees.
Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience as an engineer developing preliminary and detailed designs, including modeling, simulation, and design validation, or verification testing
-5+ years of experience in working with military C5ISR systems
-5+ years of experience as a supervisor
-Experience with basic 3D modeling and computer aided design tools
-Ability to plan and design tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment
-Ability to oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of C5ISR system equipment
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and 14 years engineering experience or MA or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with DoD and Navy policies and processes
-Experience with developing and reviewing technical drawings and drawing packages
-Experience with creating technical reports and documentation for military or aerospace projects, including airworthiness reports
-Ability to work independently or as a member of a larger, multidisciplinary team
-Ability to work on a variety of military platforms
Clearance:
