Cyber Threat Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Process and analyze cyber threat intelligence information, and compile standard and ad-hoc reports as needed. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Prepare, submit, and present reports and issue papers to customer representatives. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with performing processing, triage, threat analysis, and response to cyber incident reports
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence, including automation, dashboard creation, ticketing UI, and enhancing service management
  • Experience with intelligence systems and intelligence analysis requirements for all-source cyber analysis and reporting 
  • Knowledge of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) 
  • Knowledge of analytic threat model development
  • Knowledge of Mitre ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain
  • Ability to provide functional guidance and direction to threat studies team  
  • Ability to perform queries on indicators, and characteristics, including file hashes, size, or name
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with conducting open-source and closed-source research of indicators of compromise utilizing common threat vendor tools
  • Knowledge of DoD and service level, including Army, Navy, Air Force intelligence communities, including collection methods and production resources and responsibilities
  • Ability to use analytic tools, including Columbo, the DAD, and Splunk, JIRA, GDSA, and Goldrush
  • Master’s degree
  • Net+, Security+, CEH, CCNA, or SANS Certifications

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is to (annualized USD).
