The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software but to build a system that will deliver cutting edge software to intelligence community analysts at the forefront of today’s national security challenges? As a software developer on our team, you'll provide expertise and direction in the development and modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems. You will use your expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software. You can work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling. 

You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, while helping to identify and implement system improvements. Using your expertise, you'll work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives and provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. You'll be looked upon to help plan and schedule new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements. If you are looking to expand into leadership roles, you may be able to perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers and analysts working on a specific project. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with software development

  • Experience with the installation, configuration, integration, and testing of enterprise software for test and production environments

  • Experience working on Software Engineering, DevOps, and Quality Assurance teams

  • Knowledge of scientific programming languages, including Python

  • Ability to maintain technical documentation

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DevSecOps best practices to integrate into CI/CD pipeline for Continuous Authorization to Operate

  • Ability to support architecture design process, with an emphasis on big data analytics in cyber-analysis

  • Master's degree

  • CASP+ CE, CISSP or Associate, and CSSLP certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
