Systems Architect, Lead

Key Role:

Orchestrate the development of a system of interest, including encompassing hardware and software through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk/opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience specifying qualitative and quantitative measures to facilitate effective triage and assessment of stakeholder EIT process inputs

-Experience with leading and facilitating technical discussions within the Capabilities Working Group and coordinating with DC3 Systems Engineering resources to elicit requirements, establish the basic structure of the system, defines essential core design features and elements that provide the framework for follow-on solution engineering

-Knowledge of engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination

-Ability to plan, develop, and lead the identification, design and development of innovative activities, transformative initiatives, and technology solutions to complex technical engineering and mission execution challenges within the Enterprise Innovation and Transformation Process

-Ability to aggregate and understand customer/end-user requirements by conducting research, interviewing end-users and stakeholders, and shadowing job activities

-Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components

-Ability to apply enterprise IT or engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the customer's enterprise technical architecture

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-Bachelor’s degree 

Additional Qualifications:

-Master’s degree preferred; Doctorate degree a plus 

-DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II certification
