Accessibility Tester

Key Role: 

Serve as the advocate for accessibility, a resource for colleagues who need to develop accessible products, and provides outreach and training for project managers, web designers, developers, and content providers. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience with 508 testing 

  • Experience with WCAG 2.0 A/AA standards

  • Experience with 508 vendors on an existing platform and assistive technology tickets 

  • Experience with working with teams for the approval of product acceptance, including product security, performance testing, vulnerability testing, reliability, and fault tolerance testing 

  • Experience with managing test data architecture definition and requests 

  • Knowledge of Scrum and product planning and all phases and types of testing, for right-sized testing, including strategies, requirements, planning, management, execution, and reporting 

  • Ability to perform initial debugging on test failures and read through the code 

  • Ability to identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement across all products and test frameworks 

  • IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI)

    Bachelor’s degree 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with ZoomText, NVDA, Dragon naturally speaking, JAWS, VoiceOver, Talkback, Color Contrast Analyzer 

  • Experience with 508 remediations of the web, software, mobile, and electronic documents technology 

  • Experience with leading and coordinating tasks 

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools 

  • Ability to interact with third-party vendors 

  • Master's degree 

  • DHS Trusted Tester Certification

Applicants selected must possess an active IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI) and meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; IRS MBI is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
