Azure DevOps Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Work on the development of tools and processes to drive DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments. Work on building enterprise cloud-native solutions in Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Azure. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or CloudFormation

  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes, such as AKS and EKS, Amazon ECS, or Red Hat OpenShift

  • Experience with Linux or Windows infrastructures and databases, including SQL, scripting languages, including Bash, PHP, Python, Perl, or PowerShell, and Agile workflow methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban

  • Experience with using version control systems, including GitHub or GitLab

  • Experience with continuous monitoring and logging tools, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fluentd, PagerDuty, Dynatrace, or Splunk

  • Experience with Cloud Service Providers, including AWS or Azure and their associated services and tools

  • Ability to design and implement build and release pipelines

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with the VA or federal agency

  • Experience with supporting a 24/7 mission-critical system

  • Experience with network troubleshooting

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize results, and manage time efficiently to deliver high-quality software on time

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • AWS or Azure Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
