Business Systems Portfolio Manager

Key Role:

Manage strategic IT projects and operations for the Business Systems Portfolio, encompassing Booz Allen’s core enterprise applications, data platforms, and analytics. Demonstrate critical thinking, strong organizational skills, and a passion for pursuing operational excellence. Administer the portfolio by managing technical product roadmaps, maintaining product inventory, and monitoring progress toward key milestones including system transitions, decommissions, and cloud migrations. Drive operational reporting for the portfolio by defining KPIs and metrics, gathering and visualizing data, and translating outcomes into clear and actionable presentations. Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, product owners, and solution architects, to achieve portfolio goals and deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget. Monitor portfolio progress, identify risks, and provide status updates and recommendations to senior leadership. Establish and improve portfolio and product management standards, processes, and tools. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with IT portfolio management or product management
  • Experience with querying data and reporting operational metrics from multiple source systems
  • Experience with developing data visualizations and presentations for leadership
  • Experience with establishing portfolio standards, monitoring progress, and implementing process improvements
  • Experience in project management, product road mapping, and agile delivery software and tools, including Aha and JIRA
  • Experience with data and analytics tools, including Databricks and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of portfolio and product management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycle
  • Ability to track multiple project plans concurrently, identify risks, and communicate status
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Economics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
