Change Management and Communications Specialist

The Opportunity: 

As a change management and communications specialist on our Contracts, Procurement & Pricing (CP&P) team, you’ll support a variety of systems and processes. You’ll be responsible for managing projects from end to end, which will include collaborating across functional teams to implement system- or process-based solutions. You will formulate change management plans and activities to support CP&P initiatives and also develop, implement and communicate strategies and key messages in clear and concise language using a variety of communication materials/media.

In this role, you’ll apply change management processes and tools to create strategies to support the adoption of changes required by a project or initiative. You’ll manage projects with cross-functional, matrixed teams and multiple workstreams, conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders. You’ll identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics during project management - integrate change management activities into the project plan and track and report issues.

You’ll enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications, navigate evolving company communication processes, and establish best practice guidelines for communication and engagement. You’ll write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials and provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training and knowledge transfer sessions. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience with communications or change management
  • Experience with writing, editing, verbal communications, and communications planning
  • Experience with monitoring, measuring, and providing feedback on process performance, coordinating with users and documenting information elicited using process maps and business requirements documents, educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes, and managing process change
  • Experience with technical documentation and assisting with user manuals for systems, applications, and business processes
  • Ability to independently draft communications with a diverse set of stakeholders from business and technical organizations, provide accurate and timely advice, opinions, and recommendations that will have a positive impact on the business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, lead matrixed teams, and prioritize the most important tasks
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to provide review of technical documentation and provide constructive feedback across system support teams
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
