Climate Business Development and Capture Specialist

Key Role:

Grow, develop, and sell new work in a dynamic Climate and Infrastructure portfolio within our federal Domestic Resilience (DRE) business. Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and prosecuting transformational growth opportunities within the federal climate market leveraging industry relationships and agency networks. Lead and facilitate the development, delivery, and presentation of whitepapers, drive technical and acquisition, client call plans, and other outreach efforts to qualify and inform bid decisions, and leverage proven senior–level leadership and extensive community relationships within federal civilian climate agencies and other government clients. Build addressable markets and sell technical solutions, data, analytics, and IT-oriented work within client environments. Target markets federal, commercial, state, and local opportunities.  Drive market–based competitive intelligence, market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts in support of expanding specific client-based opportunity portfolios and pipelines, including those opportunities 18–24 months ahead of solicitation release. Manage key stakeholder relationships and work as an integrated team member across account leadership teams in a highly collaborative and team-centric culture. Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients’ requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technology-centric solution options, and building a cost-competitive industry team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior business development role with annual revenue and sales targets at a major federal government contractor focused on technology services
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing a business development plan to identify new opportunities, mature relationships, develop intellectual capital and proposals, and capture new business in white space areas
  • 5+ years of experience with successful strategies for revenue and margin growth in the federal civilian climate market leading large captures in complex technical solutions in data science, AI, and digital solutions
  • Knowledge of the US government's acquisition process and confirmed industry relationships with a demonstrated record of success in leveraging these relationships for opportunity wins and client relationships at one or more of the departments and agencies listed above
  • Ability to engage with executives and work in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $134,600.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
