Data Insights and Intelligence Chief Solution Architect

Key Role:
Lead and drive transformative growth in a dynamic Climate and Infrastructure portfolio in our federal Domestic Resilience (DRE) business. Support identification and implementation of near-term and long-term business strategies to achieve multi-year growth goals and expand business with an emphasis on climate specific scientific and technology opportunities. Lead research and development projects that enable Booz Allen to identify and shape opportunities in nascent and emerging mission areas, develop core solutions and roadmaps based on data science, analytics, and AI approaches, identify technology partnerships and integrations, engage in development and delivery of customer presentations, and develop relationships with clients at all levels up to agency C-Suite. Assess scientific, technological, and business applicability of solutions for specific mission needs and requirements. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain staff and guide diverse teams with an emphasis on helping diversify and deepen our growth and transformation team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with the federal government or commercial consulting, including solution development, client engagement, proposals, and relationship management
  • 5+ years of experience with data analytics platforms and technologies and designing and implementing architectures in public cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 3+ years of experience serving as the lead for highly complex technical volumes for 50M+ federal opportunities
  • 3+ years of experience researching and developing solutions using analytics and AI, including ML, neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision
  • 3+ years of experience serving on missions in data-intensive domains, including environment or climate science
  • Experience developing and delivering whitepapers, broad agency announcements, and presentations to clients that illustrate solutions to client problems and drive forward a capture in emerging areas
  • Experience driving and accelerating solutions based on detailed analytical approaches, combining mission and advanced technologies, including AI/ML, modeling and simulation, sensors, or digital twin
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and securing technology partnerships and investment opportunities to assess, integrate, validate, and deploy cutting-edge technology solutions
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with climate and environmental data or other missions with complex data and computing needs
  • Experience managing teams of professionals in engineering and data science
  • Experience developing and implementing a business development plan in white space areas to identify new opportunities, mature relationships, develop intellectual capital and proposals, and capture new business
  • Possession of excellent client relationship and facilitation skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred; Master’s degree in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $118,000.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
