The Opportunity:
As a Business Information Security Officer (BISO), you are the bridge between Booz Allen Commercial business and cybersecurity, anticipating sector needs and understanding sector strategy to offer security-based advisory services. You'll play a pivotal role in raising cybersecurity’s profile within Booz Allen, safeguarding our company's sensitive data and critical infrastructure. You'll be a trusted advisor, a skilled communicator, and a security champion, working together with business leaders and the Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) team to build a robust and resilient security posture. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with client-facing teams supporting highly regulated industries (e.g., Finance, Energy) to understand their unique delivery needs through the lens of cybersecurity risk
Translate complex security concepts into clear and actionable business language
Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of security controls across the organization
Conduct risk assessments, drive behavior change, and prioritize security investments to drive business growth
Oversee cybersecurity audits and client-based security assessments
Identify growth areas of security awareness and training to keep employees vigilant
Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends to understand dynamic cyber risk decisioning
Advise senior leadership on security matters and represent the cybersecurity team at leadership meetings

You Have:
7+ years of experience with information security in a business-oriented role
Experience with supporting or performing cyber incident response activities
Knowledge of security best practices, SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2, and navigating client vendor security assessments
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to collaborate with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive leadership across the enterprise
Ability to comprehend complex problems quickly, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and drive closure
Ability to take unpopular positions, when necessary, influence others to support these decisions, and maintain trust and credibility
Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience with working in the cyber industry in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience in the commercial sector
Experience with leading an organization guided by cyber threat intelligence
Experience with participating in industry information sharing and analysis center organizations
Experience with leading successful cross-functional efforts across cyber and business teams
Experience with developing board, C-level, or senior management reporting and updates
Possession of excellent interpersonal, and presentation skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $139,400.00 to $259,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
