Communications Wireless Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Design, develop, modify, and evaluate complicated devices, systems, or systems engineering trades. Maintain technical responsibility for analyzing and conducting technical processes or project phases and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, as required. Analyze and recommend design approaches for new or improved products or procedures. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects and conduct independent technical investigations into the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with common communication engineering numerical modeling and simulation tools, including MATLAB, Simulink, or Python

-Knowledge of wireless communication systems

-Ability to perform wireless link budget analysis

-Ability to model in a high-level language and functional communication systems blocks, including demodulators, decoders, and channel equalization

-Ability to apply complex technical concepts to client missions and use cases

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with RF hardware technologies

-Experience with implementation of wireless technologies in different software-defined radio architectures

-Experience with implementing digital signal processing algorithms

-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, as required

-MS degree in EE preferred
