Costpoint Administrator, Mid

Key Role:

Provide Costpoint technical and functional expertise and serve as a subject matter expert for Costpoint and associated system configurations in support of operations and close activities. Partner with various departments across the organization to enhance and improve our Costpoint environment, provide daily support to operational and functional teams, and lead in future improvements and integration projects. Assess the validity of Costpoint configuration update requests and provide options for resolutions, as required. Maintain documentation and approvals for configuration updates. Assess needs for enhancements based on operational needs, integrations with other systems, and workflow functionality. Act as a liaison between IT development groups and operational units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of current systems. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Costpoint accounting systems
  • Experience with implementing process improvements
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Knowledge of government cost accounting and time reporting
  • Ability to comprehend configuration impacts on data collection, processing functions, and downstream systems and reporting
  • Ability to trace transactions and processes through their full life cycle and assess the impact on all affected systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with financial systems in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Costpoint administration or aCostpoint finance role
  • Experience with configuring and supporting Costpoint and Deltek Time
  • Experience with workflow tools, including Integrity
  • Knowledge of accounting, including government contractor regulations
  • Knowledge of Deltek Time and Costpoint front-end applications screens, functions, and job processing and how these tie to the database tables and other applications, functions, and processes
  • Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, or interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
