Data Architect

Key Role:

Understand data and data management from an enterprise architecture perspective. Translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by developing and implementing enterprise data strategies for the management and sharing of key medical device supply chain indicators. Work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious while developing advanced technological ideas. Use your technical expertise to design data architecture solutions by designing data storage and management methods and approaches, analyze data architecture-related business needs, and work with project team to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments. Resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by analyzing the needs and the environment to ensure the development considers the architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience with leading business process assessment, reengineering, or architectural development
  • 5+ years experience with cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with designing and modeling enterprise data warehouse solutions, including design and implementation, and system administration
  • Experience with creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Ability to assess, design, and implement internal organization process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, or re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Ability to design, create, and manage tables in PostgreSQL RDS
  • Ability to monitor database performance and implement performance tuning
  • Ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries to reduce execution time and resource consumption
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Experience with designing data pipeline architecture for data ingestion into Big Data and multi-cloud platforms
  • Experience with software development using languages, including Python
  • Ability to articulate complex data architecture topics with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Automated Test Tool Certifications
  • Foundation or Advanced Tester Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
