Data Loss Prevention Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:
Play a pivotal role in our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Help with a variety of engineering efforts for DLP initiatives. Demonstrate an understanding of cybersecurity, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), DLP solutions, and an excellent track record of cybersecurity engineering in complex environments. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity engineering

  • Experience with analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Knowledge of DLP solutions and tools, including Microsoft Purview and AIP, Varonis, Netskope CASB, Trellix, Imperva, Cisco Email Security Appliance, and Splunk

  • Knowledge of technical support for various tasks, including DLP Gap Analysis, Requirements Review, Technology Realignment, Reporting, Operational Response Documentation, Policy and Governance Establishment, and Training in the Talent Management System

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
