Data Solutions Engineer

Key Role:

Design data solutions to support Automated Data Validations. Ensure the consistency and completeness of data in our business systems using Legacy Data Migration. Manage the migration of data from legacy systems to our Business Systems Data Lake, ensuring data integrity during the transition. Assist in the enforcement of data governance policies, ensuring data security and compliance. Collaborates within BSP to understand their business objectives and data-related challenges. Implement and configures data solutions with support from cross-functional teams. Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends to continuously improve solutions. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:   

  • 5+ years of experience designing or engineering data solutions

  • 5+ years of experience scripting in Python, R, or Scala

  • 3+ years of experience with various data storage and processing technologies such as SQL/NoSQL databases, or big data platforms

  • 1+ years of experience with enterprise cloud environments such as MS Azure, AWS or GCP

  • 1+ years of experience with data analytics tools and technologies such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and using an ecosystem of collaboration tools, including Confluence, Jira, or GitHub

  • Ability to problem-solve and provide technical guidance

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Additional Qualifications:   

  • Experience with Databricks

  • Experience in data modeling, data architecture, database design, and data disposal

  • Experience in managing data-related projects, including scoping, resource allocation, and timeline management

  • Knowledge of data security and compliance standards

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
