DevOps Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity: 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will support software deployments of Booz Allen solutions to our clients. You'll partner with key stakeholders across the company to drive software deployments of cyber applications that aid network and security operators. You will be responsible for activities that include design of integration and automation aid software distribution of event pipelining, threat detection, and advanced analytics services and capabilities. You will measure the deployment success through alignment to industry standards, compliance requirements, and adoption.

What You'll Do:

  • Continuously improve the distribution of product by writing code to improve integration, automation, and maintenance for deployments  
  • Maintain a reliable production application for our customers while working alongside software developers and clients stakeholders 
  • Participate in cross-team working groups while deepening your knowledge as subject matter expert 
  • Enable your teammates through technical mentorship, code reviews, and pairing 
  • Passionately advance through the deployment of usable software within Booz Allen Solution Center 
  • Support delivery to customers by capturing feature set requirements, demos, and processing feedback loops and associated backlog items

You Have:   

  • 3+ years of experience with software development 
  • 2+ years of experience with building and administering instances and services in the cloud and on-premise for development, test, and production environments  
  • Experience with scripting, testing, and deploying new versions of cloud services and infrastructure,  including design and management of automation playbooks, such as Ansible 
  • Experience with developing tools, services, processes, and workflows to ensure DevOps pipelines are available  
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools used to build, evaluate, test, and deploy services, including Kubernetes (K8s) based distributions 
  • Ability to ensure solutions are security compliant 
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with service mesh and configuration management
  • Knowledge of Cloud service provider, including AWS, GCP, or AZURE
  • CKA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
