EVM Cost Management Lead

The Opportunity: 

The Booz Allen Hamilton Earned Value Management (EVM) Organization is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and disciplined EVM Cost Management Lead to oversee EVM operations across multiple programs with a focus on cost analysis, validation, and facilitation of the EV Cost Tool, Deltek Cobra.

In this role, you'll oversee multiple EVM Cost Analysts, collaborate directly with the EVM Schedule Management Lead, and interface with multiple project management personnel to facilitate effective and efficient EIA-748 caliber EVM Cost and Schedule Data Integration, Validation, and Analytics. Your routine operations include supporting EVM Cost Analysts with program planning and startup activities, establishing budget targets with CAMs and PMs, creating program Control Account and Work Package structure, importing schedule and resource data into EVM Cost Tool, facilitating monthly EVM Business Rhythm activities, assessing Estimate at Completions (EACs), conducting data quality and validation and DCMA EV Compliance Metrics (DECM) checks, supporting Variance Analysis, and instilling appropriate change management and control principles.

You Have:

  • Experience in a professional program finance or cost control role
  • Experience on a program with EIA-748 Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements, and CPR, IPMR, and IPMDAR deliverables
  • Experience with using an EVM Cost Tool, including Deltek Cobra
  • Experience with using MS Excel formulas and pivot tables
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
  • Experience with EVMS Compliance Reviews, including Validation and Implementation
  • Experience with EVMS Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSRs) and System Surveillance Reviews (SSRs)
  • Experience with CSDR Flexfile and Quantity Reports
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS)
  • Top Secret clearance
  • EVP or PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
