Eastern European Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in Eastern European political strategy, military development, and policy. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes related to diplomatic, informational, military, and economic (DIME) factors.  Examine the central concerns of international relations, including diplomacy, foreign policy analysis, international organizations, global development, and international relations theory.  Monitor, identify, and analyze international developments and public policy issues and trends and assess their impact on strategy in regions of interest to United States European Command (USEUCOM) and partner nations. Perform in-depth analysis, write reports, and brief changes, trends and implications to USEUCOM objectives. Apply expertise in communications to interacting with senior defense officials, policy analysts, researchers, and other members of the US government.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with the application of Eastern European military culture and policy to real-world events for government or commercial organizations
-3+ years of experience with Eastern European regional issues and challenges
-Experience with diplomatic, economic, political, or strategy work
-Experience in communicating with senior leaders, including 3-start or higher
-Ability to demonstrate Russian language proficiency at the DLPT 2/2 level
-Ability to travel across the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility from CONUS to Germany and possibly across the USEUCOM AOR
-Secret clearance
-MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Ability to conduct management consulting, including onsite client interaction preferred
-Ability to demonstrate Russian language proficiency at the DLPT 3/3 level preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills
-TS/SCI clearance
-MA or MS degree in International Relations, Foreign Affairs, National Security Policy, or a related field
