Emergency Management Support Specialist

Key Role:

Be part of a dynamic, highly functioning team that manages Booz Allen's internal corporate crisis and emergency management programs. Assist with two key initiatives: facilitate the migration of our existing emergency response website to a refreshed, more dynamic online portal for both our employee population and our internal emergency response partners and support data entry as we migrate Microsoft Office-based plans into a database-driven planning tool. Analyze and evaluate existing team plans and procedures, drive process improvement and efficiencies, and author new procedures as new threats and the firm’s business footprint evolve. Support the team's response to crises and other disruptions, and help us track and continuously improve performance during responses by leveraging input from leadership and knowledge of industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with emergency management, including authoring response plans and tactical standard operating procedures (SOPs)

-Experience with supporting responses to complex, fast-paced emergencies, including working in emergency operations centers

-Experience with developing jargon-free preparedness awareness content for general audiences

-Experience with SharePoint, business continuity software, Conga Composer, or SalesForce

-Ability to respond to emergencies on nights and weekends as needed

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with private sector emergency management principles and practices

-Experience with emergency mass notification systems

-Knowledge of private sector emergency and risk management preparedness, mitigation, planning, response, training and exercises

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-Possession of excellent presentation skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Emergency Management or Homeland Security or ABCP/CBCP or AEM Certification a plus
