Global Defense Sector Strategy Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Global Defense Sector Strategy Analyst, you’re passionate about helping organizations understand and reach their goals. You find fulfillment in that “ah-ha!” moment when your clients or leaders realize you just showed them how to transform their organization. We’re looking for someone like you—an experienced strategy consultant who can identify an organization’s long-term goals and explain how to achieve them. This is an opportunity to have an impact on Booz Allen’s Global Defense Sector. The Global Defense Sector meets the needs of our clients as they take on our nation's most pressing challenges around the globe. As a Global Defense Sector Strategy Analyst on our team, you’ll engage with leaders in Booz Allen’s Defense Sector to help them develop our strategy and bring it to life. You have a curiosity mindset and will ask the right questions to draw out our objectives and vision. Your passion for defense strategy, implementation, and operations will help provide leaders with options to evolve and strengthen our defense business.

You will join a fast-paced team to support the development of our business, distilling industry trends, weighing options in our strategic trade-space, leading analyses, and reporting to senior leaders on core strategic issues. You’ll help explore how we should build our capabilities and generate business cases. You’ll support firm-wide strategic planning efforts related to portfolio planning and business reviews. Work with us and lead change for the better in Booz Allen’s Global Defense Sector. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in the defense industry, defense consulting, corporate strategy, corporate operations, corporate finance, or defense market analysis

  • 5+ years of experience distilling complex information, developing insights, and generating work products to support a fast-paced workflow environment

  • Experience working with senior leaders to gather insights and provide accurate information

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, collaborating when needed and completing tasks with minimal oversight

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, and prioritize the most important tasks

  • Bachelor's degree in Strategy, Operations, Business, Finance, or Change Management

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in supporting enterprise-wide change, including strategy development, or strategy implementation

  • Knowledge of Booz Allen's culture

  • Ability to pay strict attention to details

  • Possession of excellent presentation skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Possession of excellent time-management, analytical and organizational skills

  • Change Management Certification such as PMP, PROSCI, LaMarsh, or CMAP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
