On our team, you’ll provide employment law support to internal clients across Booz Allen’s domestic and international businesses and build trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics and Compliance team to protect and advance the company, while navigating the complex, multifaceted, and often novel legal and compliance risks we face today. Guided by Booz Allen’s purpose and values, together we’ll anticipate and proactively prepare for the issues we’ll encounter tomorrow. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with practicing employment law in a law firm, corporate, or government environment

  • Experience advising on international employment matters, including drafting employment agreements and cross-border separation agreements and advising on jurisdiction-specific employment policies and managing cross-border employee investigation matters

  • Experience with advising clients and business partners at all levels of leadership on a wide range of U.S. employment-related matters, including employment claims, wage and hour issues, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, high-risk performance management issues, workplace safety, military and medical leaves, and accommodations

  • Experience with leading or advising on complex employment investigations of matters involving employee misconduct, including violations of law or policy, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and conflict of interest

  • Experience with managing and responding to administrative and government agency charges, audits, and requests, and managing outside legal counsel in employment litigation matters

  • Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered and translate technical advice into succinct, clear, and direct business solutions

  • Ability to execute against clear objectives, priorities, and success metrics and KPIs

  • Ability to partner with client leaders and partners to build consensus on complex employment law and business issues

  • J.D. degree

  • Active bar admission in any state in the U.S. or the District of Columbia

 

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience counseling a U.S. government contractor with an internationally-deployed workforce, including with Status of Forces Agreements

  • Experience supporting business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide integrated and durable solutions

  • Experience with working under pressure, managing multiple complex matters simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing outside counsel on jurisdiction-specific employment law matters and litigation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $153,400.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
