The Opportunity:
As a Construction Project Management Specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced construction project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.
On our team, you’ll support the Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA) and Healthcare Environment and Facilities Program (HEFP) Special Engineering Projects (SEP). You’ll serve as a subject matter expert to assist HEFP SEP with implementing programmatic and technical requirements for ongoing infrastructure construction projects associated with IT infrastructure modernization. The primary function of the Integration Engineer and Construction Management Specialist is to identify and mitigate risks, issues, and solutions associated with government-led construction project management, and facility infrastructure readiness, including space, power, HVAC, fire code, plumbing, civil, physical security, and IT infrastructure.
You'll be responsible for supporting data center and telecom room phasing and sequencing during construction activities. This requires exceptional communication skills and ability to successfully integrate all stakeholders into complex processes without disrupting existing hospital IT services. Should have experience supporting or leading data center equipment coordination, delivery, and turnover processes.
You must be an exceptional communicator with a demonstrated ability to develop and lead briefings to Program Managers. You'll coordinate project teams and work effectively across multi-discipline teams. Demonstrate expertise with conflict mitigation and arbitration and interagency collaboration associated with government construction projects. You will apply experience, knowledge, industry strategies, and negotiation expertise to identify options and recommend solutions to execute complex activities during construction and prevent or minimize the negative impacts on project schedules.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience with engineering or construction project or program management
- Experience with large-scale commercial or government infrastructure projects as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Contracting Officer Representative, or End User Representative

- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) as it applies to construction contracts
- Knowledge of facility infrastructure requirements associated with data center operations, including space, power, fiber, cabling, HVAC, fire code, plumbing, civil, or physical security
