Market Solution Architect, Senior Manager

Key Role:

Leverage expertise and creative problem-solving to develop tailored solutions that will drive the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) toward its IT transformation goals. Bridge the gap between business requirements and the design and development of technical solutions that address the business requirements described in the customer’s solicitation. Attend client meetings and capture technical requirements. Evaluate the client business requirements/needs, and challenges to identify feasible product and service solutions that address the requirements and challenges and help articulate them into proposal-ready written response. Develop and implement reusable VA-market CONOPS and Frameworks. Integrate micro solutions into overall proposed solution. Manage solution team, effectively communicating client requirements and articulating the technical approaches for successful implementation of the solution. Assess capture and proposal engineering maturity. Work with the capture team to develop a roadmap that implements improvements using industry best practices including Cloud Architecture, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test Automation, and Agile methodologies. Confirm that the described solution proves to be consistent and compliant with customer functional, security, and technology requirements and policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working in a technical field including software development and modernization efforts, and forward-leaning technology, such as cloud, automation platforms, enterprise data, DevSecOps, and open-source tech stacks

  • 8+ years of experience with architecting high-performance, high-availability systems, including missions of national importance

  • 5+ years of experience serving as a solution architect integrating disparate technologies into cohesive technical solutions that directly address client challenges

  • 5+ years of experience with developing and delivering tailored, complex presentations to clients that illustrate solutions to client problems and drive forward a capture, improving the probability of a win

  • 5+ years of experience supporting technology implementation and environments at the Department of Veterans Affairs

  • Experience in partnering with senior-level client stakeholders, providing technical thought leadership, and bringing innovation to achieve business needs

  • Experience delivering high-quality client service

  • Knowledge of the VA healthcare domain, including business impacts for IT products, interoperability requirements, such as HL7, FHIR, and the use of API platforms, and security and privacy standards

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as the lead for highly complex technical volumes for federal opportunities in the VA health market

  • Experience with establishing frameworks for systems modernization efforts using integrated DevSecOps toolchains and test-driven development practices

  • Experience working in Agile at scale in environments with multiple, product-centric Agile teams

  • Experience with AI/ML

  • Experience integrating SaaS products

  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Cloud Architecture, Software Development, SAFe, ITIL, or DevSecOps certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $122,200.00 to $227,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
