OT Network Security System Administrator

Key Role:
Apply knowledge of industrial control systems and system administration to help develop secure network architecture designs. Evaluate systems for cyber risks and remediation activities and design and implement secure architectures. Work both remotely and onsite at various commercial, industrial, or government facilities. Perform activities, including designing secure OT network architectures, building solutions to protect critical operations, and assisting with the development of overall OT architecture strategies for our clients. This position will require travel of up to 50% of the time to client sites.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with maintaining essential IT and OT network operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and engineering workstations

  • Experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering

  • Experience with network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks

  • Experience with systems security engineering, design engineering, security tests and evaluations, and risk assessments for SCADA, ICS, and enterprise-level IT systems

  • Ability to create OT reference architectures and firewall rule configurations

  • Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to the industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with common industrial network protocols, including Modbus and EthernetIP

  • Experience with industrial control regulations, including IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, or NERC CIP

  • Experience with analyzing vulnerability and security risk assessment tool results, including DoD SCAP or Nessus

  • Knowledge of any automation or control systems programming software

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity functions, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, security assessments, strategy and program development, network architecture designs, or monitoring solutions

  • Master’s degree

  • Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
