OpenSearch and VectorSearch Full Stack Developer

Key Role:

Join our team as an OpenSearch and VectorSearch Specialist with front-end development skills, where you will apply your strong background in software development, integration, or administration. Utilize your proven experience with the Elastic stack in the design, development, and maintenance of our OpenSearch capabilities and VectorSearch solutions. Implement and manage VectorSearch solutions, demonstrating your ability to ensure scalability when dealing with large datasets. Develop and maintain a responsive front-end interface using React or Angular, integrating these tools with our OpenSearch and VectorSearch solutions. Collaborate closely with our data science team, understanding the requirements and constraints of our AI models and solutions. Harness AWS services, including AWS OpenSearch Service and AWS SageMaker, to construct efficient AI and ML solutions. Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the performance and efficiency of our solutions, remaining current with the latest developments in OpenSearch, VectorSearch, React and Angular, and related technologies, and work with other team members to integrate these into our broader architecture.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of experience in Full stack Development with an Enterprise Search Solution, including Elasticsearch or OpenSearch

  • Experience with Python, React, or Angular, and integration with Elasticsearch backend

  • Ability to display an interest in learning about Large Language Models (LLMs) and working in an AWS environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience in AWS with supporting search projects

  • Experience with VectorSearch solutions, including PgVector, PineCone, or similar DBs

  • Experience with AWS Textract, Comprehend, AWS Lambda, and other AWS services

  • Experience with LangChain framework

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • Possession of excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills

  • Possession of strong communication skills

  • Possession of self-starter skills, a passion for learning and a willingness to grow in the field of AWS Cloud Services, AI, and ML

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
