Job Description
Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of production-scale systems. Act to support services before they go live through activities, including system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. Measure, monitor, and maximize availability, efficiency, and performance of live services, applications, and systems. Perform monitoring of production services using tools, including Splunk, maintain virtual environments, apply patches to development and production platforms, including Windows and VMWare, backup and recovery, collaborate with other software engineers to troubleshoot applications and services, and collaborate with Tier 1 support to respond to incidents and service requests. Support the migration of development and production applications and services to the cloud.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Windows-based systems
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with hardening systems in compliance with security best practices and guidelines, including Security Technical Implementation Guides
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and NTP
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Red Hat Linux
- Experience with IT Services Management tools, including ServiceNow or Remedy
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools, including Puppet, Ansible, or Salt
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including TFS or Jenkins
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with implementing PKI/SSL
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including provisioning and managing VPCs, EC2 instances, security groups, and S3 buckets using CloudFormation scripting
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
