The Opportunity:
You know that project managers touch every single part of a business and wear multiple hats: from caring for the client and their meaningful project goals to participating in business development and being a key contributor to their employees’ growth. We are looking for a Governance Specialist who can help us with coordinating governance process initiatives across different business units and stakeholders.
You will drive governance related projects in the User Productivity portfolio across the M365 and Atlassian suite of products, and work with various technical teams to deliver design specifications and deliverables to various business units. You will be responsible for defining, documenting, and communicating existing and new processes, policies, and standards that ensure the quality, consistency, and compliance of our data and analytics solutions. You will also manage the governance process lifecycle, from initiation to closure, and facilitate the collaboration and alignment of governance committees, working groups, and subject matter experts.
What You’ll Do:
As a governance specialist, you’ll:
- Analyze the current state of governance processes and identify gaps, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain the governance process documentation, including process maps, workflows, roles and responsibilities, decision rights, escalation paths, and metrics.
- Communicate and educate stakeholders on governance processes, policies, and standards, and ensure their adherence and adoption.
- Plan and coordinate governance process activities such as meetings, reviews, approvals, audits, and feedback.
- Track and monitor the progress and status of governance process initiatives, and report on key performance indicators and outcomes.
- Manage governance process issues and risks and implement mitigation and resolution actions.
- Facilitate the collaboration and alignment of governance committees, working groups, and subject matter experts, and ensure their engagement and participation.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on the governance process, best practices, and tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of governance process framework and methodology.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or governance process management
- Experience in governance with M365, Slack, and Atlassian suite
- Experience using collaboration tools such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, or Confluence
- Knowledge of Agile project frameworks
- Knowledge of data and analytics governance processes, policies, and standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders
- Ability to analyze complex situations and propose solutions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in a Business, Management, or Information Systems field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
