The Opportunity:

As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a seasoned DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.

As a lead DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team of cloud architects and engineers as they manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll apply your skills and experience within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience leading highly technical development teams in architecting, designing, developing a high visibility, and state of the art software systems
  • Experience building data access frameworks
  • Experience with Java, Python, or Go programming languages
  • Ability to architect highly scalable, reliable, auto recoverable, and secure solutions using a service-based architecture such as microservices
  • Ability to capture design using UML/SysML diagrams
  • Ability to collaborate with Product Owner and analysis team and identify features and their schedules
  • Ability to work closely with the development team implementing agreed upon features within schedule and budget with agreed upon test coverage
  • Ability to define the CI/CD pipeline including automated testing, security scanning and remedying identified vulnerabilities, and containerizing the developed software for deployment, and collaborate with the operations team and incorporate their feedback and concerns into the designed solution for meeting the SLAs and KPPs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with agile development scrum methodology, including managing and motivating team members
  • Knowledge and use of issue tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira for software application and development tracking
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
