Project Control Lead

Key Role:

Prepare operating budget analysis for units and departments based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, and expense reports. Review expenditures of requisitioning departments to ensure conformance to budget, maintain records of expenses, inventories, and budget balances, and audit vouchers and expense accounts. Maintain records of actual operating figures for comparison with the estimated budget. Assist with the installation of budgetary control systems and use a computer to input, retrieve, and display budget information. Plan, assign, and supervise assignments, assist with the review and evaluation of personnel performance, and review progress with management. Analyze organization policy and recommend changes in procedures. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment 

  • 5+ years of experience executing and maintaining project budgets, invoicing, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery 

  • Experience coordinating and monitoring multiple client delivery teams 

  • Experience with productivity and management methods, including Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE), process or status reports, budgetary status reports, or program reviews 

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including applying formulas and functions to calculations and analysis 

  • Experience with the analysis and reconciliation of unliquidated obligations 

  • Ability to manage the software tool procurement process for a federal program 

  • Ability to work with functional specialists, automation specialists, contractors, vendors, and customers to automate the client's requirements into automated applications

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree 

 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with cost estimating or financial management for engineering, consulting, and professional services in a federal environment 

  • Experience with supporting the IRS 

  • Experience with maintaining and operating IT service cost models to develop estimates used in customer billing

  • PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
