Key Role:

Perform the day-to-day activities of Booz Allen’s Enterprise Risk and Resilience (ERS) team in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Assist the ERS team with the development of risk frameworks, including overall risk appetite and risk tolerance parameters for achieving strategic priorities for the firm and help firm leaders navigate risks and enable smart risk-taking. Apply theories, principles, and concepts relating to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) from industry best practices, including effective risk oversight and mitigation strategies. Use technical and risk subject matter expertise to develop processes for risk escalation to enable identification, mitigation, and management of the most critical risks in each business sector that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the firm. Lead and support ERM activities to identify, track, manage, and report on the firm’s enterprise risks. Guide risk owners and working teams through formal risk management frameworks and processes, including development, execution, and monitoring of risk mitigation plans. Monitor, record, and analyze risk assessment data, create reports and presentations, develop key talking points for executive-level briefings, and communicate risk posture across the firm, as required. Work independently to review large amounts of content to ensure high quality and accuracy and submit deliverables in a timely manner. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with ERM project management, developing and operating an ERM process, or performing in a broad-based risk management or strategic risk consulting role for executive and senior management

  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting role

  • Experience with designing, conducting, and analyzing formal risk assessments at an enterprise level

  • Experience in working with managers to conduct risk assessments and collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends

  • Experience with collaborating across an organization and building partnerships across various functions

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of project management principles and how to manage and execute multiple complex projects in required timelines and expectations

  • Ability to examine an opportunity, define the risk and risk mitigation strategies proactively, and develop material to communicate

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity to provide recommendations to solve business problems and handle sensitive information with the highest standard of ethics and integrity

  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience with ERM project management in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of risk-related governance frameworks, including COSO or ISO 31000

  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, including SOX and Internal Controls

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and senior level engagement

  • Ability to learn new risk management approaches and identify process improvements and efficiencies

  • Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including analyzing problems, conducting research, evaluating options for action, and providing thoughtful recommendations at a strategic level

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey meaningful insights to complex issues and explain findings to teammates and executives

  • RIMS-CRMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
