Salesforce Developer, Lead
The Opportunity:
As a Salesforce developer, you will work closely with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce requirements in a variety of industry contexts. You'll work in all aspects of the Salesforce development lifecycle, including configuration, customization, and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations. You’ll also serve as an advisor to our clients and provide consultative guidance regarding how they might adopt new technologies or add new features to support the mission. We’re looking for someone like you to champion the technology that changes the face of healthcare.
As a lead Salesforce developer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team as they use the latest architectural approaches, best practices, and resources to overcome your clients’ most difficult challenges. You’ll share your development expertise while you identify and implement application improvements. You’ll lead a team as they code and deliver solutions that support the current architecture and operating environment, as well as guide future functionality and enhancements.
Your ability to build positive relationships with other team members, ability to write clean, maintainable Apex code while keeping governor limits in mind, experience with web development technologies like Lightning Web Components, knowledge of the Salesforce platform’s declarative capabilities, and an ability to mentor and grow junior team members will be key. Most importantly, you’ll advise our government clients on the best ways to improve and modernize the existing systems. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with Salesforce platform development, including Apex, JavaScript, or building Aura Components or Lightning Web Components
Experience as a people leader on teams in complex matrixed organizations, including establishing accountability across teams and coaching junior team members
Experience demonstrating solution design and architecture to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with Git and the Salesforce development life cycle
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience as a software engineer or software developer or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience as a software engineer or software developer
Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Platform Developer II Certifications
Nice If You Have:
Experience with federal government or healthcare IT
Experience developing and deploying using Salesforce DevOps technologies and tools, including Copado and Salesforce DX
Knowledge of agile methodologies
Salesforce JavaScript Developer I Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
