Software Engineer, Lead

We’re looking for a seasoned developer like you with the expertise needed to build software and systems from vision to production-ready.

You'll work with a fast-paced, highly collaborative software development team building and launching capability for Enterprise web-based systems in the Cybersecurity field. You'll have the opportunity to work on the automation of national-level, mission-critical Cybersecurity defense processes, workflows, and data in risk management, compliance, and vulnerability management. You'll be responsible for complex requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of high-quality, secure, and performant features. You'll leverage your technical expertise in system administration, configuration management, web technologies, and programming. You should have expertise with full-stack web application development, an understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented design principles, and be able to learn new languages, technologies, and design patterns quickly. You’ll use your communication skills to work with a diverse team of analysts and engineers to build, test, operate, and maintain system capabilities.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer

  • Experience with C# and .NET

  • Experience with web development languages, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

  • Experience with version control, including Git

  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server or PostgreSQL

  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals, concepts, and language mechanics

  • Ability to understand web technologies, web applications, software systems and networks, and security

  • Ability to work with a diverse team of analysts and developers

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins

  • Experience with DevOps, Cloud hosting, and Systems Administration, including AWS

  • Experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ

  • Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell or Python

  • Experience with pub and sub tools, including RabbitMQ or Kafka

  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue

  • Experience with Containers, including Docker

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's degree in Computer Science

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
