Solution architects lead the development and progression of the overall technical vision to achieve a mission outcome. They design and integrate components and systems or develop a system of systems while leading and directing the efforts of large teams to achieve the assigned mission. As a solution architect for presales on our team, you'll translate our customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan by crafting applying our leading-edge innovations to priority captures. Through your leadership, we’ll help transform the way our customers use technology by communicating our technical differentiation and applicability to specific customer challenges, gathering customer requirements, and feeding those requirements to our engineering teams.  And what do you do next in a career where you’ve reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow’s solutions architects. As a technical leader, you’ll shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience collaborating with clients and stakeholders to define the problem and business need 

  • 8+ years of experience translating technical solutions and capabilities across a wide spectrum of stakeholders

  • 8+ years of experience contributing across all phases of the business development lifecycle

  • 8+ years of experience designing, building and delivering large, complex programs that achieve mission on time and on budget with disciplined execution, demonstrating a proven track record of resolving complex design and implementation challenges

  • Experience with and broad exposure to different technologies and solutions with expertise in multiple platforms across multiple domains

  • Ability to leverage a highly fungible skillset, enabling you to pick up new paradigms quickly, drop in anywhere, and be successful

  • Ability to self-motivate to learn new systems and technologies, and quickly adapt to different technology stacks

  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team to implement solutions with a measurable impact consistent with program objectives

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience leading large or complex technical projects and/or modernization efforts

  • 15+ years of experience with systems thinking

  • 12+ years of experience developing strong relationships with individuals, clients and teams

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing systems of systems

  • 10+ years of experience influencing solutions design and gaining buy-in

  • 5+ years of experience serving as a senior technical advisor for strategy engagements

  • Ability to be self-motivated to infuse technology trends and drive innovation for the business

  • Possession of excellent communication skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAFe for Architects, or similar certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
