Solution Architect, Senior Manager

Key Role:

Lead the development of solution architectures to address highly complex problems, assume a technical leadership role at a program and account level, shape digital solutions business, and identify and lead growth opportunities as a technical leader. Collaborate to transform the way Federal Civilian agencies use technology, including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. Apply industry-leading approaches and technologies, including Agile, DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, and AI/ML to solve complex client challenges and provide highly innovative solutions. Work in a cross-cutting manner to drive architectural consistency and technical solution architecture across all layers, including infrastructure, platform, data, business services, user interface, security, and enterprise services. Drive incorporation of modern software development principles and technologies, including cloud-native development using microservices and containers. Build cross-functional teams of IT professionals and mentor team members on how to enhance their technical expertise and build a big picture perspective about different components of a technology solution and how they fit together. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with full lifecycle software development, modernization, and operation and maintenance using modern technologies such as cloud, DevSecOps automation, MLOps, data platforms, and open-source tech stacks
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-disciplinary solutioning on large-scale applications portfolio modernization and agile delivery efforts
  • 5+ years of experience with architecting full-stack IT modernization approaches, including cloud platforms, data, application re-platforming and refactoring, and delivering systems for resilience, reliability, performance, and high availability
  • 3+ years of experience with domain-driven architectures and designing microservices-based solutions using DevSecOps practices and cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • 3+ years of experience with development of complex solution architectures and proposals
  • Experience with architecting solutions in support of RFP and growth efforts in the federal government space
  • Ability to function as the lead solution architect and integrate firm’s offerings and highly specialized resources such as AI/ML or Customer Experience, to architect complete solutions
  • Ability to partner with senior-level client stakeholders, provide technical thought leadership, and drive innovation
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile at scale environments with multiple, product-centric Agile teams
  • Possession of excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $118,000.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
