Strategic Capture Manager

Key Role: 

Serve as a leader supporting the management and business development lifecycle on targeted captures including leveraging strategic government-wide acquisition contracts and multiple award contracts. Identify and win executable business for Government clients through applying expertise across the business development life cycle, from opportunity qualification through strategic capture and proposal development to award. Manage community relationships within an industry based on defense industry or government clients. Support firm market teams leading capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients’ requirements and buying patterns, and building a differentiated team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid. Support the development and implementation of market-based competitive intelligence, market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts in expanding specific client-based opportunity portfolios and pipelines. Manage key stakeholder relationships, keep the business leadership team informed, and engage in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with leading large captures and developing complex technical solutions, including supporting bids for DoD or Civilian clients over $100M
  • 3+ years of experience with the direct management of complex solutions and development capture efforts for defense community and government clients 
  • Experience with successful execution of all phases of a large and multi-year capture effort, including strategic planning, teaming, proposals, market, or competitive and price-to-win analyses 
  • Experience with briefing executives and Government clients 
  • Ability to develop professional engagement materials, including whitepapers, presentations, and media
  • Ability to quickly demonstrate strong leadership throughout the capture process for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance 
  • Bachelor's degree 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with leading and winning complex Assisted Acquisition Services, including GSA FEDSIM or GSA Regional captures and driving proposal submissions 
  • Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners 
  • Ability to show expertise in the business development life cycle and solution-selling methodologies 
  • Ability to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities effectively to capture teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts 
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
